Against All Odds

Leigh wanted to be whole, emotionally, and physically, but it came at a high cost. The love she felt for Emily is rekindled and they are taken through windy roads of twists and turns Leigh couldn't see coming. This is a love story which transcends time and gender. The story looks at life changing themes through the lens of love and what we are willing to do for those who changes our lives for the better. "Against All Odds" highlights how we navigate our bodies, and how hiding the truth from ourselves can impact our physical health. Sean is not afraid to push the boundaries in this albeit short novella. He asks the reader to consider how we integrate our lives into this complicated life, whilst being part of a community whose history has been fraught with pain, perseverance, unwanted violence, resilience and love.
